Anyway...
The Spring Semester is over and my Junior year of college! I'm Free! Summer Vacation Time!
However, in a few days, I have to go back to take a summer class, so I can keep up with my credits. I don't mind though, it's only for the month of June. I forgot the name of the class but it has to do with geography and history.
Right now, I want to catch with my reading (Warriors!!) and my writing, of course. I was thinking of putting together a small portfolio of my poetry. I should put together some fiction but I don't really have any. But I'm taking a fiction class in the fall so maybe I'll have something put together by then.
That's about it, for me. I'm just glad to be free of classes and writing tons and tons of papers :D
Sincerly,

Anyway, be prepared for a long journal entry about school and stress.
School been stressing me out. I'm taking 15 credits (aka 5 classes); 4 of them are English classes and one is Journalism. They all require reading (I'm stuck with boring, plotless Melville, interesting pays such as Tea and Sympathy and Equus, criticism on today's media, etc.). Most of the classes I enjoy but they can really stress you out, especially when you have a scholarship to keep. I'm just grateful to have a wonderful boyfriend, family members, and friends who believe in me and help me feel better, especially during that time of the month.
For my classes in the Spring (yes, I register early for those) I choose a class called Advance Poetry. Now, at first I thought it was just a regular class that required those to take Writing Poetry (which I'm in now) but I talked to my poetry teacher about it and she said it was a graduate class. As an undergraduate I am available to take it but it requires a lot of work. My teacher told me that I have a talent for writing but I need to follow directions more. She is right because my recent poem didn't follow the terms she gave us and I got a poor grade. After hearing all this, I became worried. What if I take the class and I don't do so well? But if I don't take it, I won't be able to fulfill the rest of my English credits because the rest of my classes that I have left aren't available every semester, sometimes. I really want to graduate in time (which is next year) and if I have to take this class, than I'll give it a try. I'm just gonna have to work my butt off next semester. And my teacher said she'll help me one on one, if I need it.
And than there's graduate school. Should I go or shouldn't I? I was thinking about going for Librarian Science. I still want to be a writer but I think it would be better for me to have a steady job and still write on the side, just in case (sort of taking a safety route). But if I do decide to go, I'm gonna have to take a second job (next to my Sunday school secretary job) and probably take night classes because my parents won't be able to pay for me. I don't know what to do. I want to have a career. I don't want to be one of those wives who stay at home and clean the house and do chores. Hopefully, I'll figure out something before I graduate next year.
Oh and before I forget, one of my love birds laid four eggs.
And I'm on MySpace now. I'm using it to keep in contact with my friends (both internet and real life). So if you're on there, look me up!

Anyway, I guess you want to know about my trip, right? Well, I did have a good time. There's a certain peaceful feeling that I appreciate in Montauk Point. The thing is, the town doesn't have any big fast food chains, pharmacial chains, or anything like that. It's all diners, pizzarias, and seafood restraunts. The absent of these chains doesn't distribute their tourism and it's nice to eat at a decent restraunt than munching on greasy food that just goes straight to your thighs.
The hotel was close to the beach so that was nice. I had a chance to go there, alone, and just watch the shoreline and the other tourist. I went on a cloudy day, hoping it wouldn't be so crowaded. It wasn't really; I was able to find a spot, no problem. Unfortunately, our room didn't have an ocean view. An ocean view is the best room to have but I didn't let it bother me so much. Since the hotel was close to the town, my family and I walked to the stores, the restraunts, and other activities. I spent one day walking here and there.
I do like the town. There are a lot of shops for toys, clothes, jewlery, books, and other things. There is also a gazeebo in the town's green and a minituare golf place near Montauk Bay (you can also ride small sail boats and paddle boats here).
And let's not forget about the dogs. I saw more dogs in this town then in my hometown. There was this female dog, probably a Lab but I'm not sure, who walked around the docks like she owned the place, a male dog with a golden brown bushy coat that reminded me of a lion, who was probably a stray because he had no collar, a white Samoyed (I believe) who sat around in the toy store letting others pet him, and dogs on leashes who were very obident. The town was like a dog's paradise. There were also cats, I probably saw three of them, but I saw dogs more than cats.
I got to see the lighthouse over at Montauk Point. It was amazing and an interesting site to see. I climbed to the top and saw the town from above. The tour guide said that on a clear day (it was foggy when I went up, the fog horn was even on) you can see Conneticut and Rhode Island. The shore was beautiful from there.
There is also Gosman's Docks, over by the harbor. My family and I went there for dinner and some Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream. A lot of the restraunts there serve seafood like salmon, crabs, lobsters, shell fish, calamari, and, my favorite, fish n' chips. You can even eat on the docks but you have to watch out for seagulls. Hungry seagulls who aren't afraid of perching onto empty tables and umbrellas. Some stay in the water, floating towards the edge waiting for french fries to fall. My mom feed one a fry and he kept coming back, it was funny. We actually got the chance to see two swans floating in the sea, they were beautiful.
I really had fun this week. Sometimes I wonder what would it be like to live in Montauk or in one of the towns close to it (like the Hamptons). But that would have to wait; right now I have to finish my education and other things. And don't worry, I took a lot of pictures and they will be up really soon.

Anyway, here's something to write about. I'm going on vacation from Wednesday to Sunday with my family. We're going to Montauk; which is a small beach town, on the shore, in New York. It's one of my favorite places to go to. It has this peaceful feel to it plus I love the beach. I hope to get some needed writing done; maybe I'll get some inspiration out there. I'll report back to tell everyone how it was :D See Ya!

Next week I'm starting my summer session up at my school. I'm only taking one class, two times a week at night. It's a four hour class, so I'm hoping for a break in between lessons. The class is called History and Film (or something like that). When I got the textbook for it, I saw pictures of Forest Gump and war theme movies so I can sort of guess what the lessons will be about. I need to take this class because my advisor said that I need more credits if I want to graduate with the rest of my class on time. So, I decided to take a class this summer to keep my credits up.
Other than that, I'm trying to get back into my writing mood. I have a whole list of things I would like to write about and ideas for poems and stories. Right now, I'm trying to focus on current projects so I can get my first priorites done and not stress over them so much. Currently, I'm working on my novel, Angel Woods, and my Heroes fan fiction based on my original character Mer (she's a water manipulator from Nantucket and yes that place is real). Plus I have a series of werewolf short stories that I really want to get started on; I'm calling the series "Tales of Lycanthropy" (it's a working title). I also want to focus on my own, original works and to take a break from doing, what I call, Fan Poetry. Most of my Fan Poetry are based on Heroes and Watership Down, plus I've had ideas for Warriors fan poetry. Warriors is a series of fantasy books about four clans of cats who fight for survival and their devoted clan. It's a great series; I've read the first four books and there's more I really want to read (onward to Barnes and Noble!!!). But I'm gonna have to push the fan poetry to the side in order to work on more important things.
I'm also a tad tired. Been going to bed earlier than usual. I'm going to bed at 11 when I usually go to bed at around 12 or 11:30ish. Last night, I was so tired and cranky that I just wanted to get some sleep; which I did, minus the really weird and freaky dream I had. Plus I have a really bad sunburn on my chest and my scalp from going to the beach on Tuesday. It really hurts, thank God for aloe vera gel.
Well, that's about it for me. Hopefully I can get some sleep, get some writing done, and get rid of this sun burn ASAP. See ya!

Well, I’m still learning about the features of LiveJournal and what I can and can’t do. First off, I had no idea you get e-mails whenever someone leaves you a message; that came to me as a surprise. Anyway, I thought I would give a little update about what has been going on.
I’m currently on Summer break. That’s one of the good things about college, you get to start your vacation off early. Since my siblings still have school and my parents work during the week, I get the house all to myself on weekday mornings. Of course, I’m left of with a list of chores, courtesy of my Mom, daytime television, and my uncle who lives downstairs and comes up to help around the house because he cares.
I get annoyed when I get up in the morning only to hear my mother giving me a list of things to do while she’s out:
Do the laundry
Iron your clothes
Vacuum everywhere, especially near the birds
Shread this pile of papers
Don’t forget to tape Max and Ruby for your sister
Like a good daughter, I do these chores. Plus my uncle tends to move the laundry around, because he wants to and he has clothes that need to be clean as well. But I don’t mind shearding paper; it’s one of those mindless tasks that can be fun to do. Of course the shreader heats up easily and stops, so you have to wait a few minutes for it to cool off.
Now, I do have plans during the summer; I’m not gonna stay at home all the time like a loner. I’ve got Vacation Bible School at my church in late June, I need to take one summer class in order to get more credits before graduation, I’m going to Boston in mid-August with the family, hanging out with friends, and more. Plus, I’ve got some writing to do. I have a long list of poems and stories I want to write and share. I don’t mind getting critique and comments for my work because it helps me improve my writing and it’s great to hear what others think. I’m also working on a novel (that’s right, a novel). Some of you here might know about it but for those who are interested, click here-Angel Woods http://kittyrose.deviantart.com/journal/1
That’s about it for now. Take care everybody.
